Parent Simulator

WIth the same spirit as games like Goat Simulator, Gang Beasts and Human Fall Flat, Who’s Your Daddy combines intentionally bad graphics, slapstick and cooperative gameplay to create a wacky and wild ride that pits players against each other in short burst rounds.

The concept is simple, one player takes control of the parent (the Daddy) and the other as a baby. The baby’s mission is to die by any means necessary, and the father’s goal is the opposite: to keep the baby alive by any means necessary. This conflict in motivation means players will scramble across the game worlds doing their best to outwit one another, which is all made even funnier by the game’s odd-ball visual style.

Bad Parenting

The baby can be harmed through many different ways. Certain objects in each level will do harm, but some methods are more effective than others. Babies can reach for bleach or other harmful chemicals, or even try to crawl their way into an oven in order to cook themselves. These efforts are often easily thwarted by the parent, so players must outsmart one another in order to achieve their goals.

The balance in gameplay is maintained thanks to the different characters’ difference in height. The player controlling the baby has much easier access to dangerous items on the floor, but this is matched by the parent’s ability to traverse levels much faster and have access to higher points of interest.

Power Imbalance

Sadly, the balance isn’t always maintained. It is much easier to win as the baby, and achieving success as the parent can be incredibly difficult. Parenting can be made easier when the player discovers cabinet locks and other ways of stopping the baby from hurting itself, but these only really become known to the player after several rounds, which can impede on the immediate fun to be had.

Even those without parenting experience will begin to appreciate the delicate nature of child rearing after playing this game. It might be a fun romp with friends for a few hours, but Who’s Your Daddy does lose its charm fairly quickly. Perfect for parties or just a quick game every now and again, this game fits nicely into a playlist of games that you can pick and choose from.

The Characters
Who’s Your Daddy features two different characters to play as, the daddy and the baby.
Daddy
The daddy’s goal is to prevent the baby from dying. He has a number of items that can be found inside the house to help him complete this task such as:

PillsThe father player also has the option to do various chores around the house, such as cleaning up toys or changing a smoke alarm battery. Doing these side activities rewards the father player with a power up to help him watch over his son. Some examples of these are:

Bat Dad: Daddy can see baby’s health and location through walls

Baby
The baby’s goal is to take his own life using whatever objects within the house he can get his little hands on. This includes actions such as:
